Question: I want to become an actress but have no idea how to go about it!.!.!.help!?!?
whenever i tell someone my dream of acting they laugh at me like im stupid or something!. its been my dream since i was really little and id like to achieve my dream as well as prove to everyone that i can make it!. any ideas on how to do this!?!? please dont be rude and please give me serious answers!.
oohhh and more in specific ive always wanted to work on the disney channel! i love it=] oh and im still a teen so yeah if that makes a difference!.
LAST THING!.!.!. if i dont live in L!.A!. or California, how do i get an agent!?!?

if you wanna make it like demi lovato and selena gomez then you need to not care at all what people say not even your parents! and
all real agents are free!.
and only get 10-20 % of the money you make doin commercials etc!.
if some1 says you ahve to pay them for them to be your agent they their a scam!
and you need to bget experience cause it will look great on your resume example:
acting classes
singing classes
plays(major roles wouild look great)

but also you dont need to live in l!.a or california to get an agent theyre everywhere!

to get an agent:
google talent agencies in(wherever you live) if there are any in your city they will most likely appear there!. if not, there are many good online agencies(make sure they are not a scam) never pay an agent before you get a job, only pay 10% of what you make after you get a job!.

My advice and opinon is
Start out slow then make your way to the screen!. Start taking acting classes, audition for a local play!.
If you like to sing and write songs I guess myspace would be okay!. You would first need to record a cd!. It helps if you know someone in the CD recording business!.
It's fine if you don't live in L!.A!. or California!. There are many ways you can audition or get an agent!.
Ask around!. Talk to local theater directors about getting an agent!. I'm sure you'll find someone!.

First of all, what you want in life is usually what your going to be good in as well as being happy with!. If you are religious you should ask God for clarity of what your purpose is in life and is acting for you!.
Second, this best agents are with the Screen Actors Guild!. Their website is www!.sag!.org
It is a legit site that actually get work for their actors!. By the way, you may have to be a member of AFTRA for a year or two before you apply for the SAG!.

Ok!. I am 23 years old and I'm a theatre major!. If you really want to become an actress, the most important thing you can do is get TRAINING!. You need to enroll in a college or acting program that will help you to develop as an actress!. After you have gotten the training then go about the business of finding an agent!. You have to really want to be an actress!. The actor's life is very hard even for extremely talented actors, you have to make sure that this is what you really want!.
LA is the best place if you want to do film, New York for Theatre!. Both places are very, very competititve, which means you have to be a well trained actor!. My space is an OK site for meeting people and networking but I wouldn't count on it to make you a star!. Go to the library or bookstore, visit theatre companies in your hometown and audition, doing this will help you tremendously!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
