Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Yes, I get nervous before an audtion!. Sometimes I'm more nervous than others but I always do ok!. Anyone who tells you they don't get nervous is lying to you!. Knowing how to handle it makes all the difference in the world!. For those who don't LOOK nervous, it's because they are probably prepared!. To be prepared you have to have a good idea of what you're going to do when you get on stage or in front of the auditors!. If they want you to have a prepared audition then, by all means, know your lines!. Don't look directly at the people in front of you!. It makes them uncomfortable!. Before you go to an audition make sure you find out what they expect you to do!. Rehearse with a friend!.!.!.someone objective who will give you honest criticism!. And be willing to accept negative critiques from them!.
If you find yourself uncontrollably nervous then get it out in the open!. Tell them you're nervous so they can put you at ease!. Remember, they want you to succeed!. They want you to be the one they're looking for!. Wear something comfortable that looks nice on you!. If you have to do 2 contrasting pieces make sure you have a subtle change in appearance!. Like a hat or a scarf!.!.!.nothing big!.!.they don't have time for a whole costume change!. Just something that distinguishes you from one piece to the next!. also, if you get called back, wear the same clothes you wore to the first audition!.
By all means, have a headshot and resume!. Even if you don't have much to put on it!. I have other tips!.!.!.if you'd like to add me to your contacts list!. Break a leg!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Almost everyone gets nervous!. I'm kinda experienced but I still get shaky at first before I get to the audition room!. The best thing that works for me is to kind of breath and just watch a couple of other people audition BEFORE me!. Honestly though!? My nervousness seems to help me it's like an adrenaline rush and it seems to make me able to project easier and sometimes even helps me hit the notes I need to in a song!. Sometimes nerves are good it shows that you really want the part!. Good Luck and Have Fun with it!. REMEMBER the casting directors are people too and they WANT you to do good cause they need people in their play :DWww@QuestionHome@Com

Almost everyone gets at least a little nervous at their auditions (whether they want to admit it or not!.) I especially got very nervous on my first audition!. It is nerve racking to be standing there in front of a panel of directors and be judged on your abilities!. I know the feeling of "they're staring at me!. they're watching me!. what if I'm not good enough!? What do I do!?" But believe it or not those butterflies in your stomach are actually a good thing!. Nerves are often the sign of something you need to work on, a problem that you need to fix!. They are reminding you that hey you might want to memorize the last part of that monologue soon or don't you think that lyric is duck not cluck!. The best thing you can do to be LESS nervous is to practice practice practice practice!. Actors are not born, though you may be good at acting from the start which puts you at the advantage!. The more experience you have, obviously the less nervous you will be!. Well enough with that!. Be sure you eat a small piece of a banana before going onstage, the potassium helps with nerves!. also, drink water to help your vocal cords!. Breathe deeply and smile throughout your audition!
I'm sure you'll do great!Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are different things you can do!.

First of all, you should know that we sometimes get nervous agitated when we are put in situations that make us feel uncomfortable!. By doing it over and over again, you will start to feel better and more at ease!. If auditions are not easy to get, then you should be taking classes anyway to improve yourself!. In those classes you will be doing things that will have you up in front of the class a lot doing scenes and exercises!. It will help you work on your public solitude!. Ask your teacher what that is!.

Another thing you must do is to have better control over your mind!. You MUST concentrate on what it is you want and not what you don't want!. Think positive!.

The are many things to say on the subject, but the last thing I will say is that you should be doing everything you can to become a good actor!. If you are not, when you go to auditions, casting directors will be able to see that they are dealing with someone who is just another kid who wants to be an actor, but who is not willing to do what it takes and work hard to become a really good, PROFESSIONAL ACTOR!.

Have a look at this page on my site for new and aspiring actors!. It has links to different pages that have to do with different aspects of acting careers and includes links to some of the pages I think you could benefit from like why taking classes is important, how to choose a school and yes, how to get over stage fright and feel more calm during auditions!.

Remember, the more you audition, the more comfortable you will feel!. To audition more, you need to set up your strategy to make sure that happens and that includes getting an agent!. To get an agent, you need to be skilled and talented!. To be skilled you need to take classes and train for a long time!. You can still look for work and get experience while you are in acting school, but you NEED to study the craft if you want to be good!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Salutations,
I love an audience, even if it just 1 or 2 people!. I have never been nervous about speaking in front of stangers, even though some of my best friends say that I really am shy!.
My best advice to you would be this, have the lines in mind, focus youself totally on your audience, smile with your eyes, and give em all your best! it's that easy!.CheersWww@QuestionHome@Com

Yeah, but I'm still pretty ametuer!. What I do is I tell myself, "don't let your nervousness show because otherwise you won't get the part" and I just try to forget the auditioner is there and I do the best I can!. If there is a green room it is a good place for calming down!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, I always get nervous, even if my friends don't know it!. I just take a deep breath and relax!. If you're truly determined, and you're mind is totally set on it, you will achieve!. This is what I think!. Advice!? Just be positive that you've memorized what you need to and have your friends there to comfort you! You'll do fine in the end, trust me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yeah! My method of calming down is sorta lame though!.!.!.I give myself a pep talk just before and state that nervousness doesn't help me at all, so why feel that way!? You only get one shot so shoot far and don't let anything like nervousness get in your way of fulfilling your dreams!

Haha I know!.!.!.cheezy =)Www@QuestionHome@Com
