You can live anywhere and have an agent!. I live in Wyoming and my agent is in Montana!. The hard part is being able and willing to travel great distances to get to auditions; or moving to where the action is!. I'm sure there are acting opportunities in DC!. More than what there are in Wyoming!. Get online and find an agent and contact them and see what they require for them to represent you!. Make sure you don't pay an agent to represent you!.!.!.they get paid for acting jobs when you do!. There may be a small filing fee involved but that's about it!. Good luck!. I don't know how old you are but if you're a minor you should have a parent or guardian around and keep them informed at all times!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, but it definitely helps to live in Southern Cali!. You're lucky; besides NYC and Hollywood, Washington DC is probably the closest next in terms of acting jobs available!.
You can get an agent ANYWHERE, practically!. Just make sure it's a good one; choosing right may choose the path your career takes!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Always work local, while thinking global!. The biggest problem with actors in the U!.S!. it they think only in terms of working!.!.!.!.well, in the U!.S!. If you lift your head up just a bit and look out across the water surrounding us, you'll see a world of acting opportunities not available in this country!. Really, acting has to be seen as a global business!.!.!.!. Didn't anyone tell you that when you go into acting, you become a business owner and a multiple subcontractor, marketing expert, product placement expert, P!.R!. rep and more!.!.!.!.! And guess who your best client is!? YOU!. So, think about working abroad in addition to seeking an agent in your own back yard!.!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
