Question: Is it impossible to start an acting career in georgia!?!?
I know one of the best places to be would be NY but i don't see my mom moving me there!. I'm fifteen and I've been looking up acting schools and I plan on joining Drama Club next year!. I'm also taking a Video Production class so that I can have some experience on camera!.
If Georgia isn't one of the best places to live for starting an acting career what should I do until i could possibly relocate until I get older!?
This is something I really want I just dont know where to start!.

i lived in georgia for a year and worked professionally and it's not that bad!.!.!.especially if you're under 18!. once you get old enough or go to college, you can really pick and choose where to explore not just your career but your adult life!. but atlanta has always been one of the fastest growing cities in the south and has a great arts community!. i personally worked for the Georgia Ensemble Theatre and they were great to me!.

the big thing is, because of your age, you shoud focus in on school and getting through that!. you are absolutely doing the right thing with simply garnering any and all acting/commercial experience possible but doing it extracurricularly!. there are so many possibilities, though not very glamorous, at your age!. as far as stage, you have your school, church, community theatre!. then check into getting an agent, if your mom want to spend the money, in atlanta for more commercial work!. once you get closer to graduation from HS, look into colleges outside of atlanta if you want!. there are also lots of unified auditions around that area: UPTAs (united professional theatre auditions in memphis), SETCs (southeastern theatre conference - they have 2 during the year)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
