I have toffee-colored skin, big dark brown eyes!. Heart-shaped face!. Full lips!. My hair is also curly/wavy frizzy and somewhat kinky!. I'm mixed so yeah!. also, what should I do with my hair!?Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: You must have a color headshot these days, it's the standard since a few years!. The people who tell you to go B/W have no idea what they are talking about!. You should wear any color except for black and white, something that contrasts nicely with your skin!. Blue, green, orange, red are probably all great on you!. Is there a color that people tell you you look great in!? Wear it!. Bring lots of stuff to your session so there is a variety to choose from!. Wear simple stuff, no prints, logos, stripes or crazy designs, and don't cover your neck!. A simple T-shirt or dress shirt in a strong solid color works well!. Never ear the latest fashion fad, because your headshot will look dated in a few months!. Keep your wardrobe simple! Your eyes are the most important thing, not your wardrobe, so you don't want to wear anything distracting!. Hair: Wear it like you will be wearing it for the majority of your auditions!. Although the current trend it headed towards color headshots, I'm still a fan of the goold ole B&W myself!. My wife, however, has a great color headshot she's been using and it's gone over pretty well!. If you are doing B&W, color choice will be white, black, and anything else that would show up as varying shades of gray!. Given darker skin, dark hair, and dark eyes, you will want something lighter to pop your exotic features!. I would suggest a mellow (pastel) yellow, green, or other earth-tone!. My wife has similar coloring to you, and her color headshot has her in a pink top that really brings out her hair and eyes!. A headshot shoud be your general 'Look, I can do anything!' shot!. Don't do anything extreme with the hair!. If you can just kink it a bit and leave it down, I would suggest that!. If there's a casual style that you look particularly good in, go with that!. Too often actors try and turn their headshot into a Glamour Shots photoshoot, and that rarely turns out well!. Hope that helps, and good luck with everything! --Nick, Actor - Kansas CityWww@QuestionHome@Com natural makeup wear a shirt that is a plain colour that doesnt draw away from your face do wear lipstick (not bright red) not lip gloss, chapstick, or lip balm do wash your hair the night before make sure it will look like you naturally (yeah sorry no rainbow eyeshadow or bright red lipstick) smile on some, regular mouth on others do not put your hands up by your face (it distracts) dont do anything crazy (like stick your tongu out or make some crazy face, youll regret it later) dont tie your hair back, just leave it down how it naturally is dont curl, straighten, krimp, or dye your hair right before you get the pictures taken (unless you plan on keeping it that way and have it that way for every audition)Www@QuestionHome@Com Most classic head shots are done in black and white!. A simple drape for women and plain shirt for men!. Have your appearance at what you think looks your best!. Take your makeup and hair supplies in case the photogrphers gives you some suggestions to make changes!. If the photographer is any good, he'll tell you what the camera is picking up!.
