Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Young Frankenstein is based on the comic movie of the same name!. In the Heights is about a family's life in Washington Heights!. I worked on this show awhile ago and it is wonderful!. Very powerful and moving, and 100percent original and edgy!. Great music and dancing!. I cant say enough good about this show!. However, depending on your age and tastes you might like Young Frankenstein better!. They both have websites (intheheightsthemusical!.com; youngfrankensteinthemusical!.com) where you can look at the synopsis and listen to some sound clips I believe (if you cant get clips there get them from amazon) and get an idea of what you prefer! I can tell you that In the Heights has an urban, Latin, upbeat feel!. Young Frankenstein has great special and visual effects!. Rent the movie so you know what the story is like!. It is a quintessential New York show, and the notices for Young Frankenstein were very iffy!. Heights won the Tony, for what that's worth, but it looks to be a young, vibrant, very entertaining show!. In the Heights won a Tony for best new musical!. if that doesn't say it all, then i don't know what does! A friend and I were going to see ITH, but couldn't get tickets for it because it was sold out, so we saw Cry Baby instead (pretty good!.!. the first number of the second act is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!) I would really encourage you to see In the Heights, because it looks amazing and the music is pretty damn good!Www@QuestionHome@Com |
