Um, I'm guessing that your parents do support you in a lot of ways, but just not in this!. They support you by providing a home, education, food, clothing, transporation, birthday gifts, vacations, etc!., etc!. Show some gratitude!.

If your goal is just to be famous, then I can see why your parents are not interested in throwing their lives into chaos to cart you around to where ever it is you need to go to begin your fulfillment of this dream!. Being famous isn't a realistic career goal, in all honesty!. You can work towards getting on Broadway, or in films, etc!., by starting now where you are and actually learning the CRAFT of singing, dancing, acting!. You can do that in a drama class at your school!. If there isn't one, then talk to your English teacher, or music teacher, and work with someone to start one!. It's YOUR dream, so YOU should be the one putting the most passion and support into it for YOURSELF!. If you show some talent and some persistence in your endeavors, THEN your parents will begin to pay attention!. If I was your parent, I wouldn't do it either, at least not for the reasons you've given!.

99% of professional performers are not famous!. The ones who are have spent the better part of their lives - probably a good few decades - developing a long term career, learning new skills, and doing their best in theatre, film and TV!. Your parents are probably being realistic; as well as cautious!. There are a number of people out there who prey on the young and naive, and just because you call a casting 'place' doesn't mean you will either be famous or an actress!.

For the meantime, stick to doing classes at school or outside of it, contact your local branch of an actors' union for information specific to emerging artists and what you can do to get started!. And join your local amateur group!. If your parents see that you are genuinely interested in acting, rather than 'being famous', they might be less reluctant!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well a few words of advice:

#1- don't go into acting because you want to be famous, do it because it's something you're really passionate about!. ask yourself- if i'm 20 and totally broke, will i still choose acting over a steady income job!? if you show that your really incredably serious about it, your parents will probably be more supportive!.
#2- don't try to go big!.!.!.yet!. start auditioning for school plays or local community theatres (you can normally get audition info for these in you newspaper)
# 3- wait till your 18 (that's what i'm doing!)!. then you can handle things for yourself!. you can get you own agents and sign your own contracts without your parents permission!.
# 4- remember that acting isn't really a stable carrer, and not everyone who acts can be famous!. get use to rejection!. lots of it!. not everyone is made to act!. but you're right!. you never know if you don't try!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You're not an actress!.
I mean that by saying, people who say "I wan't to be an actress/singer/model/etc, b/c I want to be famous", arn't in it because they love it!.
They are in it for fame and money!.
Hardly any performers ever hit it big and don't care!.
If you really loved it you'd have no problem doing student films and community theater shows!.
You'd be happy!.
I don't think this is a good career choice for someone like you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Without your parents you can't do much, until your 18 you have to have your parents sign everything you do because your underage!.!. Sit down with your parents and have a real talk with them about acting!.!. If it's because they don't want to spend money in acting you shouldn't have to pay for anything -- if you do there a scam!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You gotta get out there your self!. Make the calls, and be your own manjor, and maybe your parents will start to see your responcibilty in that dog eat dog world, and help you out more and more as you grow!. Its also good practice to learn how to survive on your own out there in the hollywood world!. I hope to see you on the big screen!Www@QuestionHome@Com

its not reall about them the thing you said was i meaning 1 and that person is you really who its all about most parents at the beginning dont support because they have realistic goals for thier child but just continue with ur dreams to show them that you werent messing around that'll change their mind when they see you achieve it by urselfWww@QuestionHome@Com

Well, honestly!.!.!. your parents should really care a ton more about what you want to do!. They should be doing whatever it takes to make your goal possible!. That's actually all I have to say!. And, good luck! I really hope it works out for you!. You'd probably be great!. = PWww@QuestionHome@Com

you don't have to depend on them to make the first step in making your dreams come true!. make the call yourself!. you can try this website!. it can be helpful!. hollywood-opportunities (dot) comWww@QuestionHome@Com

ive never been in your sit!. so i cant judge you much but never give up on the dream!. just because you miss this one opportunity doesnt mean your dream is going to fade away!.

never loose the enthusiasmWww@QuestionHome@Com

wait til ur 18 and do ur own thing and go for it cause U want to NOT themWww@QuestionHome@Com

I agree with the above!. You become an actor and singer by acting and singing!. If you are not mature enough to call about auditions (your parents may have to sign papers but surely you can call for the information or look on a website) then you are not ready to go!.

What you could do is search the web for acting classes & theater groups & voice lessons in your area!. Find out what they cost and what their schedule is!. Figure out if that will work for your parents` schedules to take you there!. Figure out what you might do to earn extra $$$ to pay for some of it!. Then present all of that to your parents!.

They may be so pleasantly surprised by your turnaround from ``Moooommm! I want to be faaaamous! Call the casting thingie!!!!`` That they will take you up on it and help you develop your abilities!.

You have the being dramatic part down!. ``How can I ever have a chance to live my dream if I don`t get a chance to even take a shot at it!? Help me!?``

You have lots of time to develop your talent and get a real shot at it when you are ready!.

Even Oscar winning movie stars still take acting lessons from Lee Strasberg and other great teachers or hire private acting coaches to keep developing their craft to the next level!.

And this month in Vanity Fair Angelina olie said when her dad was in his prime as an actor the press reports were 90% about the craft - how well he acted in a movie -- and 10% about personal life!. Now that she has come into the spotlight as an actress the press is 90% about her personal life and 10% about her acting!. And she doesn`t like it!. Even SHE has these moments of insecurity about her craft -- not that she is insecure about her ability but that people perceive that her life is part of an act!.

Can you see where that would be really discouraging!? Yeah!. SHE is discouraged by the price of fame!.

It is not all glamour and fun even when you do arrive!.

ETA: I notice in a question you asked about a month ago you were apparently pregnant!. Your pregnancy and what happens next will probably take you out of the performing circuit for a while!. Focus on having a healthy pregnancy and learning about parenting/adoption for now!. Fame might come later!. Be well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
