Actor's Equity is an organization that actors can apply for that makes them "official"!. If you are an equity actor, you are a proffesional!. However, there are a certain amount of weeks of theatre experience and other things to apply and be accepted!. If you are accepted, you will be given an equity card that lets you show up and be legit at broadway auditions!. also, Equity ensures that you are payed a minimum of $1354 a week while in a show!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Equity is the stage equivalent of the SAG--Screen Actors Guild!. It's a union which works hard to set standards for pay and working conditions for stage performers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
