You can put on Alice in Wonderland, its HYSTERICAL for little children!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

For a children's comedy it's always a good idea to have contrasting roles that all get caught up in a common issue!. The different ways that they deal with it can most often be comical!. Since it is for children, try very colourful, explorable characters that are thoroughly simple and understandable!. It helps to have either two boys and one girl or one boy and two girls!. Here are some ideas for characters:

Avenue Q (but with relateable humour for kids)

"Fractured" Fairy Tale (a new spin off of a reecognizeable fairy tale e!.g!. Into the Woods)

Adventure (e!.g!. Jack and the Beanstalk, modernized)

Silliness (always important!. e!.g!. a dog that talks,
anthropomorphisization, magic gone awry)

"Spring Awakening" - If you have ever known the play or musical, you will know that through humour and instances, the story relates to teenagers and makes them say, "that's just like me"!. Try to explore a main character that could be "anybody" (e!.g!. Princeton from Avenue Q), surrounded by odd, weird, zany, unfamiliar characters (kind of like Alice in Wonderland)

Good Luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

"Children" meaning, not teenagers or adults, I presume!?

Many kids plays you can have the kids do more than one character - it not only is more accessible but helps kids develop as actors by playing different roles and learn different parts!.

Or you could take out a scene or two from a bigger kids production involving only 2 or 3 parts - something that could work on its own!.

also, you could take an adult play and chop it up or take out a scene and do it with kids!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
