Okay I'm auditioning for mrs!.lovett and I need some tips on what to do when i play her for the audition!. so any ideas!?

Do not watch the movie! Go onto youtube and type in 'Sweeney Todd Angela Lansbury' and watch videos from the original production! She is a quirky, bigger woman!. Very loud! She is in love with Mister Todd!. Don't try an accent unless asked to do so or unless you really have one!.!.!. :D And do a lot of gesticulating with your hands!. She hardly stays in one place, but don't be too busy when you play her, either!. Do you know what you are singing/reading!? I would actually suggest against watching other actresses potrails before auditioning!. If you do you fall into the danger tht you would just mimick what they did!. it is much more interesting for a director or an audience to watch your interpretation of a character instead of a copy of what they have seen before!. Instead you should look over the material and be sure to know the story and judge based on that how you believe the character should act!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well, let me first say, COOL! i love that musical!.

my tips are to watch the movie/play, and take notes on how she carries herself, speaks, sings, dresses, and acts!. then put the essence of her character into your audition!.
