Talent website are not the way to go!. The listings themselves are legit, but you don't need to pay for them!. I'm in the DC area and just went to Explore talent to see what they had in DC!. All the auditions they had posted they simply lifted from places like Craigslist, theatre's websites and other resources like acting listservs!. All of which are free to the actor who knows about them!.

So, if you're too lazy to do you're own work to find auditions, then by all means, subscribe to Explore Talent!. Otherwise, do yourself a favor, research the market in your city and find out what the resources are available to actors (which you should do anyway) and save yourself (or your parents) the money that can be used for classes, headshots and gas!.

Any time they are asking money up front is a scam, does not matter what it is!. If you are someone they are looking for, they would pay you 1st!. That is what talent scouts do!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
