Some people work years to play some piano pieces perfectly, it depends on the piece of music, doesn't it!? I bet you can play chopsticks perfectly!. The real question is what are you willing to settle for!? My aunt played piano professionally for 30 years, she was still studying when she passed away!.

Music is like peanuts, the more you learn - the more want to learn more!. If you LOVE music, you can't stop, you NEED to learn more!.

College level classes, starting with music fundamentals and working your way through advanced music theory - about 6 semesters!.

My 32 yr old daughter is just now getting her masters degree in music, and she's still studying!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sight reading well is a skill you have to develop!. Of course, the more complicated the piece, the more adept you have to be at sight reading!. There is no quick fix!. What it takes is consistent practice!. I do have an idea, however!. Take a piece you have never seen that isn't too hard and examine (not just 'see' or 'look at') the first two measures!. Then try playing only them with two hands!. After that, examine the first line, and go on!. This won't make you able to sight read a Beethoven sonata, but it will get you accustomed to taking in the whole lot of material you have to take in at once in order to sight read well!. Keep practicing, and above all ENJOY your time at the piano!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It depends on what kind of learner you are, (some people are good visual learners, while others can play a piece perfectly by ear), as well as how much time you're willing to put into it!. There are lots of books that will teach you how to read sheet music quickly, but your best bet is to take lessons, practice your music, and study your technique!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
