No, but it may help to be in a location close to where filming and acting personalities may be!.

Anyone considering a career in acting might want to start by reading up on the field as much as possible!. Eventually, they will need an agent and a portfolio to promote them!. It couldn't hurt to find an acting mentor either!.

They will probably also need another job between acting stints to support themselves!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There is so much competition out there, so you have to be really good, and really unique to be noticed!.

Still, there is some luck involved in trying for an acting career, you may become sucessful sooner!.!.!. or later!.!.!.

Yet moving to CA or somewhere of that sort will certainly help you get more auditions, more 'known', etc!.

So if you are serious with the acting career, you may want to do that!.

However, there are many opportunities for the non-working actor outside of these markets!. Check out your local community theatre!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, develop your talents in your home town, and if you are good enough you'll make the grade there and get enough fame there to go to Hollywood!. (Although I'd give Hollywood a miss and go to the Actor's Studio in NY!)Www@QuestionHome@Com
