I think that Lord Capulet was only trying to do what he thought was best for Juliet!. Many girls in that day and age would have already been married at Juliet's age!. I think Lord Capulet wanted Juliet to have someone who would love her and care for her so that she wouldn't grow old alone and with nothing!. Juliet WAS his only child!. He had to make sure that she ended up with a good life whether she liked it or not!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
