these are the approximate ages I have seen play these roles Tzeitel and Hodel are almost always played by adult women I don't know if there are official ages listed anywhere

TZEITEL Tevye's eldest daughter (usually played by someone 18-24)Mezzo-Soprano: Low B - D sharp

HODEL Tevye's next eldest daughter (usually played by someone 18-24)Mezzo-Soprano: Low B - E

CHAVA Tevye's middle daughter (usually 15-18 should have strong ballet/dance background)Mezzo-Soprano: Low B-C

SHPRINTZE Tevye's 2nd youngest daughter (anyhwere from 10-14)
