Should I tell my parents!? I haven't told anyone I was serious about acting because I feel like they would laugh or shoot down my goals!. I'm a little trouble with the idea that my family doesn't believe in that type of stuff, they want me to become a lawyer, doctor, teacher, the average joe career!. But I'm the black sheep who sees things differently!. Otherwise you will always wonder "What if !. !. !.!?"!. You have a head start on a lot of HS students who don't know what they want to do or achieve in their lives!. Don't wait and spring it on your parents when you apply to college!. You should be trying out for every role you can, in your HS drama club, local theater groups, even local professional theaters need young talent for some shows!. Then your folks will see that you're serious about acting!. Get some experience doing what you love, pick a role model to emulate, and keep your eye on your goals and you will achieve great things!. If so, you better work at bringing them over to your side!.!.!.or you may end up an unemployed actor with a huge college loan!. The chances of making a successful career as an actor are very slim!. There are millions with the dream and very, very few will make it!. Might be best to get a double degree!. One in acting/theater and another in an area where you may find stable employment!. They only want stability and security for you because they love you!.!.!.not because they want to crush your dreams!.
