Question: Should I pay for this acting website!?

this acting website exploretalent!.com allows u to make ur own profile and gives u pages to submit urself for different castings, but the problem is that the website says it has a free 7 day trial, but u have to pay by check, paypal, or credit card so there is no inconvinience when the trial is done!. Should i pay for this or just delete the account all together!. also, do u have any good links to websites like this, but free and no gimmicks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

exploretalent!.com is not a scam!. I was recently in a play because I saw it listed on that site!. However that being said, I wouldn't pay for their membership!. You can look up acting gigs on the site, and then Google or Yahoo! Search the gig, because because more often than not, the group or company offering the gig will have their own website or have their contact info posted elsewhere on the web!. Another great website that allows you to search for acting gigs, is mandy!.com and they are completely free!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

anytime you're dealing with a website, it's advisable to use great caution!. Has anyone you know used them successfully!? How did you hear about them!? Most legit castings use talent agents and open auditions, not websites!. I would be very wary!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would not pay for it!. You should try to get into acting the old fashioned way!. Start small, send your resume and picture every day until you get a break!. Once the break comes, no matter how small, build on it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
