Shakespeare never had women fight men because it would read weird!. He made the women smarter!. The only scene I could really point out here is when Mercutio and Co!. are screwing with the nurse!. That's the closest he ever comes to male/female violence and it's silly!.

Romeo and Juliet also aren't actually together for much of the play!. We only see long chunks of Juliet with the nurse or the friar!. We don't have to see a guy and guy with eachother a lot, we see how they talk about eachother to their friends!. The closest relationship we see of Juliet is the nurse, who is also a guy playing a girl!.

Likewise Romeo is closer to Mercutio than Juliet in the course of what we see in the play!. We only see Romeo leaving Juliet's bedroom the morning after, not coming to her room after the wedding (after all the romance is over)!.

also, except for a brief moment when Romeo climbs, the most romantic scene in the play is separated by balcony and ground!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
