Question: In 'les miserables' can anyone describe the characteristics of cosette or describe her personality!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Ehhh!.!.!.!. not very easily! While the entire show revolves around her, her personality is not very developed!. Valjean sees her as his path to righteousness, giving her a stable caring home!.!.!. Fantine obviously worked herself to death for Cossette!. Marius has to choose between fighting with his friends for his beliefs or leaving with Cossette for England - so she's also responsible for Eponine's misery in her unrequited love for Marius!. The Thenadiers hold a grudge against Valjean for taking her away from them when she was making them money!.

But Cossette herself!? She's sweet, pretty, quiet, righteous!.!.!. lonely, isolated, sheltered!. She's also pretty dopey and self-centred in the book, when she gets married to Marius it takes her months to realise Valjean has disappeared, and is dying alone in an attic!. She had an awful life until Valjean rescued her, but after then she's been terribly sheltered by him, so she doesn't have much life experience!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
