Question: I am 13 and we sent out videos and pictures to acting agencies!. but now my parents wont let me take any jobs!.!?

If they are working it is no wonder!. You are a minor and would need an adult to accompany you and stay for the entire shoot!. Most working parents cannot do this, I'm sure it is not because they want to see you fail!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well since your a minor it's your parents decision because your parents are the ones who have to sign the contracts and drive you to auditions/jobs!. You can try to convince them and tell them the opportunities acting holds and say that it can help you to earn money for college!. If you've already been offered a job strike up a deal with them and see if they'll let you try it out!. If they still don't want you to do it keep acting in community theater and school plays till your 18!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

your parents are just trying to be parents!. cut 'em a little slack!. when you're 18, you can start making your own desicions!. till then, instead of doing the tv/movie thing, IF you're that interested in acting, do some school/church sponsored events!. that will show them you are serious about pursuing this trade and that you are willing to be more adult about it and see their side of it, and are willing to pursue it in a more controlled and safer environment!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
