I worked on a show which went into a West End Theatre which had previously been touring!. The production company couldn't confirm that the show was going into the West End until comparatively late into the tour!. Two of the actors had already got other jobs and one had a commitment over the Christmas period, so we had endless rehearsals for the new cast members!. Fingers crossed that the show is a success and you get the chance to perform in the West End!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Usually the original cast remains the same if the show gets more popular and makes it to Broadway, and I assume the same is true of the West End!. However, some cast members may drop out because they can't make the commitment for an extended period of time!. In that case, they would have to audition more!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Although it is not true 100% of the time, most Broadway houses are larger houses!. So sometimes, casts are supplemented with additional chorus members to fill out a larger stage and to fill the house with more sound, in the cases of musicals!. And some shows do not make successful transfers but are better suited to off-Broadway!. The Fantastiks ran for !.!.!. what!? 39 years!? All of them off-Broadway!. But it's a small play and a Broadway house would just eat up the show!. It'd be like doing a two-man show at the HippodromeWww@QuestionHome@Com
