The ones put together by Lorraine Cohen is very good, and the ones by Craig Slaight & Jack Sharrar are also very good!.

If you've got some money, buy two or three!. They'll be useful, if not now then later!. Trust me!. Books of short plays and monologues will always be useful if you intend to do a lot of theater!.

If you don't, head to your local library and rummage around in that section until you find a book you like, then find a copy of it online to buy!.

Better yet, ask your drama teacher/professor/coach to suggest a title or look through some of their books until you find one you like--then purchase your own copy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Just like there are no small roles, there are few 'crap' monlogue books!. It is the skill of the actor who brings the text to life!. Comedy is very difficult to get right, you need to have great timing!. I suggest doing a comedy workshop, if you can find one near your area!.

Comedy is funny not because of the words, but the delivery, thoughts and reaction of the performer
