I'm not really old but I'm 31 and I think I might be too old to start an acting career but I really want to get on Broadway!. Heck I'd even be okay with off broadway!. But is it too late!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Pretty good answers so far!. The first thing you need to find out is if you are any good at acting!. Locate some community theatres and tryout for their plays!. Continue doing so until you have an idea as to whether it is a good idea to try competing with the best actors in the world for roles!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you have your eye on Broadway and Off-Broadway, I'm assuming you live in or near New York City!. If that's the case, pick up a copy of Back Stage magazine!.

You'll find that publication filled with information about upcoming auditions!. Be aware that many auditions are open only to professionals who are members of Equity or one of the other actors' unions!. But there are also plenty of non-union auditions that will give you opportunities to get your feet wet!. You'll also find ads for lots of acting classes!. See if you can find one that suits you!. By getting some training, you'll build up your confidence, and you'll also make valuable theatre-world contacts!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Okay Shelley, people ask this question all the time and the answer is no!. There is no age limit on acting!. As long as you have brain function, be able to speak and express emotions, you can act!. You're 31, thats not such a bad age to start acting!. Some people start in their mid twenties, some in high school and some as kids on the disney channel!. But I suggest that you start small!. Go to your local community centre or theatre club and audition or look for auditions!. Get some experience, get an agent, act some more!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You're never too old to start! You may not get certain roles that aren't your age-range, but Broadway/theater is a LOT more open for a variety of ages/types!. So, go for it!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm not in the acting business but I think that there is no age to start anything when you follow your heart!. By the way, you are young!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
