The show is set in ancient Greece!. A young woman from that time and place would probably have worn a dress with a long skirt; a young man would probably have worn a tunic!. (You can do a web search on ancient Greek costumes to learn more specifics!.) But when the play was performed in Shakespeare's time, the actors may have worn Elizabethan English garb, not ancient Greek costumes!. When the play is produced today, the actors often wear modern clothing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When I did A Midsummer Night's Dream, the pairs that were supposed to end up together wore the same color to help the audience remember!. (With all of the mixing up the love potion does it's hard to keep straight if you don't know the story!.) I know this doesn't exactly answer your question, but I hope it helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
