Practice your part!. Do this until you know it by heart!. Remember the words of the person who speaks before you, so you recognize the cue for you to speak!. Practice in front of family and friends, so that you are used to performing in front of people!.
Gain confidence in yourself by reciting your lines in front of a mirror!. Watch your mannerisms, look at how you move your hands as you speak!. Try different ways of saying the same words or sentences!. Wear the same outfit while watching yourself!.
Keep a water bottle with you while you wait!. Sipping on water helps to lubricate the throat and helps your voice to avoid developing a frog in your throat that will prevent you from projecting!.
Take deep, long breaths while you wait!. Breathe in very slowly, hold your breath for a couple of seconds and then let the breath out very slowly!. Keep your voice warm by humming softly whenever you can!.
Concentrate on what you are about to do!. Forget about the audience!. Make believe that you are in front of the mirror or your family!. Go over your act prior to leaving the house!. Be confident in the knowledge that what you are about to perform on stage has been learned well, whether you are going to dance, sing, or perform in a play with others!. Take a deep breath and go!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I used to be extremely nervous on stage!. Then after a performance where i forgot half of my lines, I sat down and thought of ways to cure my fear of messing up n stage!. Some people dont get stage fright beause they dont mind lots of people staring at them!. But here are my tips to over come this fear (for at least just for that performance)!. Before the curtains open, hold some one's hand (a good friend is always there to help when you need it)!. The one that works for me the most, is pretending to be your character!. If your character is a bird, pretend that you can fly!. Being more like your character benefits you by making your performance better and you dont focus too much on the audience!. Imagine the audience members to be friends of your characters or just blank wall!. Both of these methods have helped me so much and I hope they will help you too, if you do have a problem with stage fright!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Im in a band , and we perform all over the u!.s, and Trust me stage fright is a natural thing!.Stage fright is kind of like a mild anxiety attack, or butterflies, either way the best way to deal with it is to just go out and give the audience a great show!. stage fright only lasts a couple minutes once you start performing then it goes away and you'll have the time of your life!. In my experience i have learned to overcome it, it definitely goes away with time and experience!. Its nothing to worry so go have fun!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes!. ignore the audience:

for an english class, I had to pretend I was a teacher being interviewed for a job!. I was facing a panel of about 8 people and concentrated on them and my task so much that i forgot there was an audience!. And I won!

Don't try and analyse their every expression and make sure you feel comfortable walking around the stageWww@QuestionHome@Com
