Affordable is a relative term here!. The average apartment here rents for $1400 per month!. You can find some nice studio apartments for $900+!.
You really need to come out here before you move!. The price of EVERYTHING, and our taxes, are higher than everywhere else except for New York City, Hawaii and Alaska!.
You should look at Culver City, North Hollywood, Silverlake, Los Feliz and West Hollywood!. They are centrally located and there are several studios there and in the surrounding areas!. Public transportation is not reliable so keep that in mind!. Being late for an audition is looked down upon!.
Look on the Variety magazine website for auditions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, actually I've never been to L!.A!., but from reading about it in different articles in magazines that I frequently read, I would think that Central L!.A!. would be your best bet!. But, you know you can pull up Screen Actors Guild!. Com!. There's a wealth of information of different agencies for all areas of entertainment in different cities!. As well as a listing of modeling agencies, agents for acting and theare and so forth!. Maybe you can contact somewhere in Los Angeles and they can help you out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
