Let me put it this way (I'm not making fun of you)!.!.!. Do you know what slating a camera is!? how memorize a script in less than 3 days!?!? I'm not saying that you have to take THEATER classes, but acting classes and workshops are a HUGE plus!. The agent that I have won't even look twice at you if you don't have training, because you don't learn the necessary technique it takes to become an experienced actor!.

The actors you've heard of are only the !.000001% who haven't taken theater, most actors have done theater at least once in their life!. You can go to auditions, but think on this: would a director rather have an actor with training or one without!.!.!.!. Which one has more experience and can earn him more money!.Remember that the agent doesn't know you, he's just basing it on your resume, if you don't have the requirements, you won't get the job!.

It's possible to get an agent and an audition, but it's very slim, better trained actors (who will know what to do) will beat you to it!.

I think you do need to!. Even if you're a talented, there's a lot that you can't get by on talent alone, like how loud you must speak, how to interpret a scene, how to do accents, how to move, stage combat, theater jargon, etc!.

Acting is not just about portraying emotions on stage!. For example, you have to learn to pronounce words in such a way so that the audience in seat 2000 all the way in the back would hear you (my teacher told me you usually use Standard American in theatre, which is somewhat different from the regular English we speak everyday)!. There are certain habits we pick up in real life that will work against us on stage!. You need a teacher to help point these things out to you!.

Besides, without any theatre classes, what are you going to put on your resume!? Some theatre companies won't accept high school theatre experiences!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You want to act but you don't want to learn how!? That's absolutely ridiculous!. It's like saying you want to be a brain surgeon but you don't want to go to medical school!. Even if you have loads of natural talent (which I doubt), you need to learn the technique!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

you don't have to take them, sometimes it just comes naturally to people!. you can get an agent and go to auditions with out one!. more than anything else it's about natural ability and talent!. classes aren't a must! just rely on your natural abilities!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
