Write everything you know about the character, then write a background of their life---make it up to fill in the blanks!. Write where they were born, etc!. (Their life story up until the musical starts telling it)!. Think of yourself as the character and their story as your story!. Pick a way that they walk!. And walk it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can Dress the part!. Like the other person said, to give your all, you should check out the charcter, Where he live (town) his music background, (even if it is not a real character) how he lived (did he have a music background from childhood) I could go on and on, but I am sure that you got the hint!. Buy a musical DVD and pick out a character from there, watch what he does, how he dress for the part, the hair style, and the movement!. A musical movie will help you out a lot!. GoodLuck with everything as you will be alright!. The more you practice, the better and more relax you will be!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Maybe an understanding of character is in order!.

Character is developed from seven adjacent spirits of God; Courage, Intuition, Knowledge, Understanding, Council, #6- Worship, # 7- Wisdom!.

What is in the play!? Which is lacking in the Player!?

Ask what is of greatest value!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

before your scene starts!. try speaking the thoughts your character might have about the current situation or predicament they are in!. say it in first person to yourself or out loud!. always go after your objective, what the character is trying to achieve!.
