Question: I want to be an actress but i don't know how to get there!?
i want to become an actress but i don't know quite where to start or how to get an agent!. i dont want to become one just for the fame of it but because i have passion for it!. i take acting lessons, voice, piano, and dance( plus SOME modeling) i am willing to do my best and i am willing to fo through all the rejections!. The best place to start, in my eyes, is disney channel, but how do i get there!? How can i get an agent!?!? all Most everyone i know says that i have talent and that i should become an actress or a singer, but what else do i need to do to get there!? can someone tell me how and where i can get auditions or an agent!? a website would be good to!. I have done a lot of research on this subject because I was trying to get my son an agent!. One huge factor is your location!. It is easier to find agents in cities such as L!.A!., N!.Y, etc!. If you do not live in or near these cities you should go to a local modeling and talent agency!. You should also look into acting in your community theater, or attending a school for the arts, in order to get some experience to add to your resume!. I signed my son with a local agency, but we have still had to travel to big cities for auditions, so be prepared!. You should also look into getting comp cards (cards with various pictures of you on the front and back)!. Some people choose to put a few pictures on the front of the comp card, and a resume on the back!. You can just google 'comp card' and get different ideas!. These cards make it easier for you to market yourself, and for agencies to market you!. It is costly and stressful, but if you have the passion and a gift, don't give up!.
Oh, and please, watch out for scams!!!
Beware of agencies charging a lot of money to join, and many times if it sounds to good to be true, it is!. You should also google 'talent agency scams' in order to be prepared!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well first of all don't set your eyes on one place (disney channel), because you need to keep your options open!. You need to find out auditions for TV programmes & go to them, or theater productions, films etc!.
There's a tv series called Skins, you might have heard of it but I don't know where you're from, but there were audtitions so my friend went and auditioned for the part!. He didn't get it, but's that's how you'd get into things like that!. And you just go from there, there'll be people to help you and get you an agent but don't make having an agent your top priority!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
