Question: Les Miserables School Edition!?
How old do you have to be in order to be in LMSE!?

I know the rights say the maximum is 19 years, but the producer for the show told me the minimum age is 15 (He said for the specific show; the theatre itself lets 14 year olds do the shows)!. However, I looked on the LMSE website and I didn't see anything about a minimum age, just a maximum!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There is no minimum age specified, because it is a school edition, after all!. Ask the producer where he got his information, as there is nothing on the site about a minimum age!.

There is no minimum age!.

The reason that there is a maximum is because of the licenses, you cannot call something 'school edition' if not all the actors are school age!

As for minimum age then it is up to the casting!. - There is little point in casting anyone younger than 10 as they do not have the understanding or acting ability to pull Les Mis off!.

Hope this helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If the casting director says 15, he means 15!. Ad I hate to be negative, but chances are, he just said that the LMSE website said that so that younger auditioners wouldn't be as upset with him for limiting the age group!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Follow what the producer said!. The producers and directors will most certainly be more correct than the website and they call the shots!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
