Question: Do you think Hollywood is making new films that can go down in history!?!?

!.!.!.!.like the old films we call classics and remember, do you think Hollywood is doing that or just making one-minute wonders!.!.!. i think so!.!.!.!.

not many films are THAT good!.!.classics like,
Citizsen Cane, Godfather, 7Year Itch!.Taxi Driver!.!.

I think that Hollywood at one time was more artistically based, in that the artists were creating films with the studio!. Writers were educated an writing amazing screenplays and stories, character actors were considered the most amazing talents!.!.!.

!.!.!.!.Now Hollywood is money, studio's are making films for money, that is there only goal!. Very rarely now ( maybe twice a year) does a film come out that will be remembered for the next 20-30 years!. I think that the emphasis is on what sells (sexy men and women, effects, explosions) and using the actors that are a sure bet instead of creating a new generation of leading men and women!.

Although! I do think that this trend (which picked up steam throughout the 90's, and is now an epidemic) will fade, because audiences are getting tired of seeing the same people, the same movies/effects, and the Independent world is Thriving in response!. I think that the more Independent films get treated like Hollywood films, slowly it may dilute the independent world!. But, I do think that eventually we'll see a return to the old Hollywood!.!.!.Eventually greed will get the best of these studios, and simplistic storytelling and film as a craft (not a paycheck) will return!.!.!.
