Question: Preparing to fly (Peter Pan)!?
I am Peter Pan in a local play, and in September I am going to learn to fly!. Are there any ways I can prepare to learn!? Is there anyone here who has done it!? Is it hard!? Is it fun!? I want to be good at it, how can I prepare to learn to fly!?!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Flying is a bit of an adrenaline rush, certainly the first few times at least! It's not that difficult, and if you've got a professional company coming in to choreograph the flying, as you say you have, they'll teach you what you need to know!. I've always noticed that people with good core strength (ie through their torso) are the ones who look best in the air, because they can hold themselves in the positions with the most ease and grace!. So I would recommend doing exercises to strengthen your core muscles!. If you want to go all out, a ballet class will help with gracefulness!. Talk to the wardrobe department about clothes to wear under your flying harness - they're not the most comfortable things in the world and people I've worked with have used padded bike shorts to make it more comfortable!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, first off, swimming shows you how to move your body as if you're flying!.

If you are using a harness, just let your feet brush the ground as little as possible!. Move as if you're swimming!. If there's no harness, just skim around the floor as if you're swimming!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

if you have a swimming pool swim like your flying if you dont go to a local YMCAWww@QuestionHome@Com
