If you go the movie route, be sure that you are listening to someone who is actually British!. There are some appalling attempts at accents out there!. Dodger is low class British, so that should be something you think about!. I've heard him as straight cockney whenever I've seen it, but it would be fun to study another type of British dialect for him!. However you must clear THAT idea with your director, first!.

You can also find tapes or CDs available to help you learn to properly speak each dialect!. You simply need to Google British or Cockney Dialect!. I think there may be a few sites on-line!. Once you get the hang of the mechanics of it, you should easily be able to speak the dialect in any situation!.

also, don't hesitate to ask your fellow actors!. I assume that this show is "age appropriate" meaning that Fagin, Nancy, and Bill are all cast older!. They will be using the dialect, too and may be able to help you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I was just in Peter Pan and Wendy and everyoen had to do accents!. I picked mine up from watching movies, listening to accent tapes, and taken accent cources online!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
