Question: Can anyone recommend a book that offers an overview on period costumes!?

I'd like a reference book that illustrates costuming and wardrobe from different cultures and different periods in time!. I want something rather generalized!.

I'm also interested in a general reference that covers American or European costuming from the 19th and 20th centuries!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
