In this act, Antony wants to keep Lepidus from reaching power!. Even though Lepidus is supposed to have as much power as Antony and Octavius, they are the ones who wield the most!. Antony wants to keep all the power between himself and Octavius, so that they each have more power!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

ive read that plutarch says that calphurnia put antony in charge of caesers goods, and notes that the triumvirs antony, octavius, lepidus were agreed to divide all the empire between them as if they had inherited it!.antony was to get gaul, lepidus to get spain, octavious to get africa, sardinia and sicily!.i guess antony wanted to, as he says:' to ease ourselves of divers slanderous loads', to use lepidus as a scapegoat to take any blame that may be laid against them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
