Is this a good headshot for acting?

Question: Is this a good headshot for acting!?

Instead of spending a bus load of money on headshots, I decided to take some of my own!. I don't know if this one is any good, as it was as it was taken around January or so!. Well, voice your opinion and I hope you guys approve! =)

The point of a headshot is for it to be a straight shot of your head so the director can see you and recall you from your photo when he or she is reviewing the auditions later!. You don't necessarily need to spend a lot of money on your headshot, but you should take one of ONLY YOUR HEAD (hence the name HEADshot) up against a solid colored background!. It can be either in black and white or in color, but make sure that your lighting is good so the director can recognize your features!. Really, the most important thing is that it is a straight shot!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You do not have to spend a lot of money to get a decent headshot!.!.sometimes no money at all is required! Try checking out local colleges and ask starting out photography students (or grads) if they would take your pictures!. They get to add something to their portfolio and maybe a few bucks for prints and their work, and you get nice headshots!Www@QuestionHome@Com

those aren't really head shots, you need a straight on view of your face and preferable a blank background, you don't really want much landscape or any thing behind you cause it distracts away from you, the point of a head shot is to get a basic view of what you look like!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Honestly, I don't like it!. When you say "headshot," i think the photo should actually be of your HEAD!. Not your entire body, like the one you gave me access to!. And also, it shouldn't be so dark!. If people don't get a good look at your face, chances are, they wont even remember you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ok, those are NOT EVEN CONSIDERED headshots!. Those are like those shots on myspace!. A headshot should have

a!. good lighting
b!. actually show your face(face on)
c!. look natural and like you

The one you just edited in is good: it will give those interested in casting you a clear shot of your face, you're wearing a solid simple shirt and are giving eye contact!. Good choice going for the professional one!Www@QuestionHome@Com

That's not a headshot!. That's just a picture!. A headshot is what it sounds like - a clear, up close picture of your face!.

sorry but this is really bad!!! the lighting is horrible you can barely see your face and you have some spots on your face that need retouching!!! sorry but try again!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Just Like "Actress Behind the Scene" said its really bad!. Its dark and the background is horrible plus you have some spots on your face ((no offense)) which would need retouch!. You cant hardly see your face!. ~Sorry~Www@QuestionHome@Com
