An if there are acting parts too is there a possibilaty to get a part in a musical that is only speaing/acting or does everyone have to sing at sometime in the play!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Usually what people are looking for in potential employees is "Triple Threat" quality - Acting, Singing, and Dancing!. So yes, there is quite of lot of acting in a musical, just like in any other performance art!. I can't think of any roles that only require acting skills in a musical, but there are alot of roles in many musicals that require little singing/dancing!. Of course they aren't main roles, but still roles!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Ideally, it should actors in a musical should be performing with just as much emotion as any other play or movie!. There's a lot of real feelings intended for the dialogue and even the songs!. And yes, it is also possible to get a non-singing role in musical, but they usually still require you to sing for the audition!.Www@QuestionHome@Com In musicals, one acts through dialogue, singing and dancing!. There are many roles in musicals that require neither singing nor dancing but they are overwhelmingly minor roles!. If you do not want to sing and/or dance, do not audition for musicals!. BTW kSem: there are many many musicals in which all the dialogue is sung!. These are called "operas"!. Google it sometime!. Acting is part of the musical most of the time!.
