Half a groat!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There were no newspapers in the modern sense in England!. However "Relation aller Fürnemmen und gedenckwürdigen Historien" published in Germany in 1605 is considered a newpaper, though it was more like a book, and would have been expensive since books were quite rare in those days!.

The closest thing in England in Shakespeare's time were broadsides and pamphlets prompted by specific events, though later in 1622 The Weekly Newes, a pamphlet, comes close!.

In the 1640s the "news books" were sold in England for a penny each!.

2d (2p) seems to have been a typical minimum price of a book in Shakespeare's time, so the cheaper forms like the broadsides and pamphlets were probably a penny!. That's about £2 in today's money!. (Half a groat is two pennies so that was suprisingly close!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com
