Beyond classically trained singers [like myself], you won't find too many singers in pop/rock who have a two-octave range!. Country singers generally limit themselves to about an octave, and occasionally stray out of their normal range for effect!. I'm sure someone has mentioned Mariah Scarey and her supposed four-octave voice, but that's a fallacy!. Her piercing high notes are an affectation that is 1) not legitimately produced and not sustainable, and 2) heavily aided by sound engineering!.Www@QuestionHome@Com mariah carey has four octaves, which is pretty incredible toddlers have like one octave!.!. thats why all the songs they sing are basically the same notes two to three is average, and most artists, especially lead singers in bands will have a two to three octave range!. depending on your vocal range (soprano, tenor, or whatever), you just have to find good songs to sing!. there are going to be a ton that you have the ability to sing, so I suggest that you find a particular artist who has a voice similar to yours and stick to their stuff!. edit!.!. to the person below me!.!.
