Question: Musical birthday cake ideas!!!!!!!?

for my birthday, I'm having a musical themed birthday party!. It's a sleepover for teen girls!. I'm doing kareoke and watching a movie, but what would be a cool cake that has a musical theme!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?// plz help!!!

If your making your own cake which is what I think you are doing!.!.!.I would find photos on line of your favorite musical logos or playbills and shrink them down to size and print them in color!. Cut them out and you can be creative by using colored card stock to make a "matting" or "frame" for your tiny posters!.
Then I would make them into little signs by gluing them to Popsicle or tooth picks or really thin dowels) and Then strategically stick them in the cake (away from candles so they won't burn up)!. So all the posters to your faves will be on the cake!. when ts time to cut the cake all yoru friends can take their favorite!. You can Even make one for yourself that says Happy Birthday!

To Complete the look you can make a "BROADWAY" Banner with icing on the cake!.

This probably would work best on a sheet cake rather than a round!.

Idk!.!.!.!. but my sister had a music theme bday once and she made a cake with a piano going acroos it, and one with a big fat ol music note!. and all the decorations were black and white, it was really cool!

I am a theater freak too!. Well, if I was in your situation, I would have a cake with a music staff on it with some notes drawn on it too!.
Or maybe the symbol with the two white masks one of them smiling and one of them crying!.!.!.

I think that you should have a green cake with Elphaba's face drawn into it with frosting and a little black lettering that reads , "Have a Wicked Birthday Kathy"

How about Grease - you could decorate the cake with any number of scenes from the movie!. You could use an old album for a cake tray and you could use model cars on the cake and a barbie for the race for pinks, you could tape straws to the back of a picture and put that in the cake for the screen at the drive in and again use model cars!. You could go to a toy/party store and see if you could find a ferris wheel and other little rides and do the graduation scene or you could make a sock hop on the cake for the dance scene!. If you want something easy - you can just put records all over the cake (icing ones)!.

Your friends could come in poodle skirts and you could have a room with a mattress on the floor and bunches of pillows and have the scene where Rizzo is making fun of Sandy while she's in the loo!. That would make for one great pillow fight after the movie (or during or before - whatever)

You say you are a theatre freak - what's your favorite musical - What about Cats - there are a lot of things you could do with that too including making your own cat masks as part of the party!. Just think of your favorite and have fun with it!.
