I'm also from Houston!.
Yes, Barbizon is a scam!.
They do Not teach modeling, the only thing they want is $5,000 and will give you nothing in return, they do not train models, they pretend to, but they don't!.

They will give you a "hard sell," and your parents will have lost thousands of dollars!. Cancel the appointment or don't go!.

Try the following legitimate Modeling Agencies in Houston!.
Pastorini-Bosby Talent Agency pbtalent!.com -
(713) 266-4488

Neal Hamil Agency: nealhamilmodels!.com
(713) 789-1335

Do not return their phone calls,

Definitely a scam!. If you want to be a model, you can send photos of yourself to any reputable modeling agency!. If they think you have potential, they'll hire you and teach you everything you need to know!.!.!.!.!.for free!.

As for acting, there are plenty of acting schools in big cities, and also theater departments in many good colleges and universities!. If you want to act, you should still get a good education!. 95% of all actors are unemployed at any given time, so you need something else to fall back on!. You might as well get your college degree WHILE you're learning to act!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have been going to barbizon since feb and i thought they picked me for my potentional- but they are only in for the money which is 1400!. they still let you keep on paying every lesson & they are really really nice!. i guess the money is somewhat worth it because they can help you acting and espically modeling!.

&they will put you in classes depending on what level you are on- not age!. since there are kids from 7 to 24 years old!.

OH and this sunday, we are having our first fashion show for mother's day-
so, prbly going to be worth it!. (;Www@QuestionHome@Com

Scam! Scam! Scam! Scam! Scam! Scam! Scam! Scam! I went to the one in Tallahassee!.!.!.!. They say that they will make you a "star" if only you pay a "small" fee ($2,000- $3,000)!. that's a LOT for only about 12-20 classes (depends on what you want to do)!.!.!.!. they explain that it better than going to an acting college, but the thing is, is that college actually TEACHES you stuff!. They just suck out your money!. If you don't believe me, then you go to the meeting and see for yourself how sketchy they are!.!.!.!.
they sell you classes from "professionals" but really, all they teach you is how to paint your nails and how to put on makeup!.!.!.!. Helpful if you wanted to look nice, but you can get that information from a Magazine for $2!.99!.!.!.!.!.!.

Good Luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
