How many shows of Wicked have there been to date?

Question: How many shows of Wicked have there been to date!?

This is a really random question, but I was wondering if anyone knows how many showings of Wicked the Musical there have been from when it started to now!. Only the ones on Broadway, though, not in West End or Chicago (or whatever other cities it's playing in)!. I think it started in 2003, but I can't find any information on how many show's it's done!. Well, its been going since October 30, 2003 at the Gershwin Theatre in NYC, NY!. There are 8 shows a week: 1 Tuesday through Saturday, 2 on Sunday, and Monday is the actors' day off!. But then there was the stage worker strike, so the show was not able to be performed for that short amount of time!.

I'm not sure how many shows there have been exactly to date, but I'm assuming somewhere around the thousands for the Gershwin Theatre alone!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
