Whats a good FIRST broadway play?

Question: Whats a good FIRST broadway play!?

I'd like to take my boyfriend and best friend to see a broadway play for their birthday (they celebrate their birthdays around the same time)!.!.

I'm not sure what play would be a good first broadway play
I was thinking Mamma Mia or Legally Blonde!.
I have seen Mamma Mia and love it!. I have not seen Legally blonde!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

OK, I was in the same situation on taking my brother to see a Broadway show!. He is a total jock and hated musicals!. You have to break them in slowly, but I DO NOT recommend a Disney show!.
I agree with MAMMA MIA! Great and familier music!.
IN THE HEIGHTS would be a great choice because of the style of music and it's message of today, not some fake fictional life!. The "rap" type score makes it not seem like a broadway peice, but a "today's music" type show!

Unless your boyfriend is a huge musical theatre buff DON'T take him to the very girly Mama Mia (based on ABBA songs) or Legally Blonde (based on a chick flick)! A good first time show for guys would be something like Evil Dead or Avenue Q or Sweeny Todd!.

Eh, first show for a guy!? That would NOT be Legally Blonde!. It's very girly!. And pink!.
Unfortunately, Sweeney Todd is no longer on Broadway, or else I'd suggest that!.
South Pacific is a classic, as is Gypsy!. In the Heights or Passing Strange may be good as well!. In the Heights has got a sort of Hip-Hop/Latin score!. Passing Strange has a rock score!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
