There is no real cure to stage fright (believe me i used to get it loads when i was younger!) just relax!. I know this is a bit daft but have you seen high school musical!? Do some of the exercises Ryan and Sharpay do Believe me IT WORKS!

I've heard people say that they take one look at people and they just faint or be sick OR WORSE! Just relax! They have come here to be entertained and to enjoy watching you perform! They didn't pay to watch someone throw up! Practise speaking infront of your fellow actors/actresses directors etc!.!. and you will gradually grow in confidence!. Rehearse your lines with a family member, so you know what the reaction is going to be like!.

im sure you'll be great, remember just RELAX!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would get nervous about performing when I was younger, too!. But instead of letting the nerves get the better of me, I would translate it all into energy and excitement! I would pace, or run lines in my head, or warm up my instruments if I was playing music!.!.!.but I would get so revved up with raw energy and anticipation!.!.!.I just loved to perform in front of people!!

I wanted to see the eyes and faces of my audience! I wanted to know if they were enjoying the performance! If they were really liking the show, then I would get even MORE ramped up,!.!.!.and those shows were just the best ever!!

I don't want to sound mean or anything!.!.!.!.do you know your lines very well!? When you become, "your character," are you very comfortable in the world that the director has given you and your other acting friends!? If you can answer yes to these questions, then just have fun out there on stage! Make everyone in the audience your best friend, and tell them all the story of your character through the words and movement of the play!

What you and your friends are doing is one of the oldest forms of communication ever!. You are story-tellers, and you are about to repeat a story that has been told many times before!.!.!.!.!.or, you are about to tell a brand new story for the first time!. Either way, the people who come to hear it will have the unique privilege of watching and listening through your mind, your heart, your body and your voice!.

Turn your fears into confidence! Trust your director and your fellow actors, and think of all the rehearsal time you've devoted to getting everything just right! Most of all, listen to yourself telling the story, and watch the faces of your "friends" in the audience!

Have FUN!! And when you hear the applause as you take your bows at curtain call, just remember what I've said!.!.!.and then try to go right to sleep when you get home after the show! ;-) I NEVER could!! I always wanted to do the whole thing again!.!.!.with even MORE people!!!

Break a leg!!! :-) :-) :-) :-) (this is your first audience cheering for you!) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

forget about the audience, pretend your in your room or some private place!. just don't focus on them focus on your character, focus on the other actors, it makes it a lot easier!.

I'm just throwing out suggestions, staying in character has always worked for me, it also gets easier if you do it a lot, then you get used to itWww@QuestionHome@Com

All the people who say "pretend it's your room" or your "mom" or pretend the audience "is in their underwear" have absolutely no clue about stage fright!. None of that works!. The best thing to do is have a few sips of booze!. Then you'll find your nerves will be calm and you'll be great!. Booze!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

dont look at the audiience look right above their heads ( at their hair)
