Question: Hi, It is illegal to work in the street with a puppet!?

I want to act on the streets dressed as a clown with a puppet, would have to draw a special permit in the city or something similar!?

It depends on where it is and how it is done!. Near where I live is a Saturday (and Sunday) Market!. They have entertainment right there in the street(s)!

They also have many different things and services for rent,sale etc!. Hopefully you have this same sort of outlet where you live!.

If not, you should be able to contact your local chamber of commerce and ask if they know of any legal problems with your idea and plans!. also ask for any referrals for the same info!. (i!.e!.: police, county or other laws which might prohibit such an event)!.

it depends on your town/state laws!. in some circumstances you are required a permit to do this, but in others you can without the permit!. and even some towns will say it is completely illegal!. i recomend talking to your city council for advise as they know the laws involved in this!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It would depend on the city!. I would guess unless you live somewhere with bored cops, I would just go ahead with it, and if there is a problem the cops will probably just tell you to stop and what to do!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
