Question: What is an Opera's Dress Rehearsal!? what's the difference!?

Most opera dress rehearsals I've attended are a full performance!. However, they have the option to pause or stop if something goes wrong!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When a preparing for a live stage production, most of the training and rehearsals are done in pieces--that is--there is no need to have all the choir members and the extras and the background people while the leading man practices saying his line for ten or twenty times before the director is satisfied!. Actors might not be wearing their costumes or make up!. But if everything is practiced and properly planned, it should all come together for the final, dress rehearsal, that is, people wear their costumes and make up and the choir is in place!. They will go through everything except without an audience!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
