By 3rd E, do you mean the E above Middle C!? That would be E4!. also, which D are you talking about!? The D below Middle C!? That would be D3!. Or do you mean D2!? Do you have 2 octives or 1 octive!?

Either way, if your highest note is E4, I would say that would put you into Bass-Baritone territory!. Tenors really need up to about a C5 and at the very least, the A in full voice!. True Baritones also usually have at least up to a G4!. Now, if you're talking about E5, then yes, I would say you're a tenor, but I assume you hit this note in falsetto!? At what point do you need to switch from full voice!? Guys can usually go quite high in falsetto, so if , for example, your full voice only goes to an E4, while your falsetto goes to an E5, I would still say your were a Bass-Baritone!.

It's impossible to say whether you're a lyric (or dramatic or spinto or whatever) without listening to!. The lyric part refers to the timbre of your voice, the tone, not the notes you can sing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You are a Lyric Baritone!.

In an SATB setting, you are a Tenor!. Try for the comfortable A above the staff (in G clef, of course)!. That is Tenor territory!.

You should reach for the C above the staff!. That is Operatic Tenor territory!.

In a BBTT setting (AKA Barbershop) you are 2nd T!.

2nd T is usually the Lead!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

lies between the C one octave below middle C (C3) to the C one octave above "middle C"(C5)!. The low extreme for tenors is roughly B-flat3 (two b-flats below middle C)!. At the highest extreme, some tenors can sing up to two Fs above "middle C" (F5)!.[1]

Yes, it would seem that you are a tenor!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
