Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: $140 is a little bit low!. But you don't need much more!. All you need is a USB Audio Interface!. This will allow you to plug in your microphone and have it converted to a digital signal to get on to your laptop!. Audio Interfaces also come bundled with a recording software!. I know you said you already have a mic, but is it a real microphone or one from Radio Shack!? You might look into getting a true Dynamic or Condenser microphone to get better quality!. Unfortunately one of these alone, will take you over your budget!.
