Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It truly depends on how they see you!.!.!.what type of actor they may see you as!. For instance!.!.!.if you are short, fat and bald and seem to look middle-aged and blue collar!.!.!.they may have too many of these types in the agency already and have trouble getting enough work for those they do have!.!.!.on the other hand another agency may be lacking that "type" and would definitely give you a call!. My advice!.!.!.never mail head shots!.!.!.bring them in personally and at least one person will also get a glimpse of your personality as well or a sense that you are so much more versatile than your photo may show!. Even if it only the receptionist!.!.!.she has more power than you think and often is a touch tone of an agency!. Hit the pavement and make the rounds to all the agencies!.!.!.and continue to do so month after month, taking note of names and personalities!.!.!.then before you go again!.!.!.review!. If you're a child or teen, it's easier to obtain an agent with only training under your belt!. Be sure to check out the submission guidelines for each agency on their website!. Some will ask that you create an acting reel - usually if you're an adult!. E-mail or call the agency and ask if they are expanding their roster!. Be sure to include a cover letter with your headshot and resume!. Just tell them how long you've been acting for, what sort of representation you're seeking etc!. ** If you're looking for more experience, student films can be good for you're resume!. also, sign up on Casting Workbook (payment/legitimate) or AActionAdutions (free), and self-submit if you wish!.
