Anyone ever play Guildenstern in "Hamlet"?

Question: Anyone ever play Guildenstern in "Hamlet"!?

I know nothing about the character!. My friend is directing this play and I have a month to memorize the script and play the part, and I really have no idea how to play it!.

Is it just a lot of witty banter between me and whoever is playing Rosencrantz!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Once you've read the scenes in which Guildenstern appears, you'll have a much better idea of what the character is all about!. You and Rosencrantz are Hamlet's longtime friends, and Claudius is using you against your old friend by sending you to spy on Hamlet!.

Your director will help you as you build your performance on the foundation of those basic facts!.

(If you were doing Tom Stoppard's play "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead," that would be a whole different story!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com
